Realtor Ruth’s Market Minute update for February 2015! Man its cold out there. So ends 2014, so starts 2015. Despite some cold and snowy conditions January of 2015 continued the run of nine consecutive months of record setting local home sales. Will the post 2014 Polar Vortex run of nine months continue or? Time will tell. If January is any indication 2015 could be a very active real estate year. Sales of homes and condos in January were up 24.3% over 2014, while new listings were also up 3.8% compared to 2014. Interestingly active listings at the end of January were down 3.0%. As well, prices of 2 Storey and Ranch or Bungalow style homes were down in January in the City of London compared with the averages for these styles in 2014, while the condo prices are up so far in 2015 as compared to the average for 2014.
